The sound remains, clear and multifaceted, you can feel the power of this smallest giant of its series. The more often you play it, the more overtones come up, like layers over layers on top of the bass range with playful nuances, lively and slightly jazzy. When played with friction mallets, it sounds intense and clear, especially in the lower frequencies... the design is a dream.
